HYGIENE CHECK APRONS ON HAIR TIED BACK HANDS WASHED BENCHES WIPED SINKS FILLED WITH HOT SOAPY WATER

LEARNING INTENTIONS To successfully make Oat Crunchies To conduct the cookery practical in a safe and hygienic manner

EQUIPMENT ( ovens on at 170 deg C or gas mark 4) Small Bowl Small Pot Pot stand Plate Wooden spoon Large spoon Foil plate knife

INGREDIENTS 6 x 15ml =90ml self raising flour } 6 x 15ml =90ml porridge oats }in bowl 2 x 15ml coconut=30ml 1 x 15 ml sultanas 1 x 15ml rounded caster sugar } 50g margarine } in saucepan 1 x 15ml syrup }

METHOD 1. Oven on 180oC / Gas 4 2. Melt sugar, margarine and syrup over a medium heat, stirring all the time. Remove small pot from heat. 3. Pour the dry ingredients into the small pot. Mix well with a wooden spoon. 4. Turn onto a foil plate. Flatten and smooth surface with a tablespoon. Bake for 15mins.
