The Oakland A’s share their ballpark with the Oakland Raiders. The Oakland A’s were first founded in 1901 by Philadelphia ad were the Philadelphia A’s. They one three out of four world series there in 1910 to 1913 and 2 in a row in 1929 ad They had many “ Hall Of Famers” including Jimmie Foxx, Frank “Home Run” Baker, Chief Bender, and Lefty Grove.
The biggest event for the Oakland A’s was when the Left Fielder Ricky Henderson got 867 of his 1406 stolen bases with the Oakland A’s. Ricky got a spot in the Hall Of Fame.
Coach Osprey was a player for Oakland and later came to Arizona. He had a 12 year playing career and he led a team to have a win and lose streak and a 7-1 in the post season during that year the Arizona Diamond Backs won a world series title. Osprey was the Bench Coach along side with his old friend Melvin.
