Law of Inertia

Toy Train This toy train will stay in motion and will keep going around the station unless acted upon by an outside force.

A car going on a straight highway This car will stay moving unless acted upon by an outside force like a traffic light.

A Pen The law of inertia states that an object at rest stays at rest. This pen will stay on the table unless an outside force moves it.

Law of Acceleration

A girl trying to move a car She is trying to move the car but is not going anywhere. More force needs to be applied to the heavier object (the car) so it can be moved.

A Big Sumo wrestler wrestling a little boy The little boy will need more force to be able to move the bigger sumo wrestler. Just as the law states more force will need to be applied to move the bigger sumo /m12/y jpg

A little boy trying to push open a closed door As the little boy pushes the door he cannot open it. He will need help from an outside force so the door can open. The door is heavier than him but if he was heavier than the door he could open the door easily.

Law of Action-Reaction

An Airplane As the airplane begins to lift of the ground, the ground pushes it up and gravity pushes in back down. images.myspacecdn.com/images02/63/l_5d5d9a94ae424e35 a2a6e34094eb8241.jpg

Rocket The reaction force that is moving the rocket is the exhaust that pushes the rocket forward. And the action force is the rocket that is pushing out the exhaust. 1_kinematicsdynamics/chp05_forces/lesson17.h tm

A girl jumping As the girl jumps off the floor gravity pushes her back down and the floor pushes her upward.

The End :D
