Bellwork4/16/14  Is Holden is a character for whom you have sympathy? Why or why not?

Evaluating quizzes  In groups of 4, trade quiz papers.  Read each question and evaluate each other’s answers using the rubric to evaluate what score it earned. Write the score next to the paragraph. Be honest about the evaluation- don’t inflate scores!  Share out the answers and choose the best response for each question from the group.  When all questions have been covered, figure out the average score for each paper and write it at the top of the paper.  For example: Scores of 4, 4, 3, 2 = 13 / 4 required questions = 3.25  Be prepared to share out your group’s “best of the best” with the rest of the class.

Now what?  If you’re happy with your score, resubmit it to the turn in box.  If you’re NOT happy with your score (or you want to do a 5 th question for extra credit), take it home tonight and add revisions. Staple the revised paragraphs to the original test, and resubmit it during class tomorrow.  Tomorrow’s a reading day- bring your book!
