Math Activities to do at Home Count coins Make sets of coins to equal a value “Read” a thermometer and keep track of daily temperatures Measure items with a ruler Practices facts for speed Sort a set of cereal into tens and ones; 3’s and 4’s Play games and put puzzles together “Read” a clock together Cook using measuring cups and spoons Notice patterns you see at home and in nature Sort socks, laundry, or silverware Talk and solve every day math problems (For example: You have 35c and the candy bar cost 40c. How much more do you need to buy the candy bar?)
