rg What is DiscoverU? DiscoverU is an exciting week for students across Seattle and South King County to explore college and career options. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to think about how education can help them reach their dreams. October 13-17, 2014

rg What will happen during DiscoverU? As part of DiscoverU, teachers, school staff and community partners will: 1.Wear college or career gear 2.Discuss their education or career path with students and ask about their interests 3.Provide fun and engaging activities to help students think about their futures

rg Where will DiscoverU take place? School Districts Auburn Federal Way Highline Kent School Renton Seattle Tukwila Colleges Youth Programs

rg DiscoverU is a strategy to help build a “beyond high school culture.” We want educators, students, families and the broader community to share a commitment to student success beyond high school. Why DiscoverU?

rg Why DiscoverU? The regional approach of DiscoverU may be new, but the components are already a part of many districts' guidance programs. As part of DiscoverU, schools and organizations can carry out many of the college and career lessons they already implement, but DiscoverU provides the opportunity to do it at the same time, use the same language and bring more stakeholders into the mix to help deliver the message of college and career exploration and reinforce the importance of education beyond high school with students and families.

rg For more information, resources and ways to get involved, visit roadmaptocollege.org. October 13-17, 2014
