Aim Explore new ways of engaging with learners Make use of technologies available in order to enrich reflection, assessment and feedback activity Consider and discuss the use of technology in your own context Experience the use of digital voice recorders and “Flip” video cameras

What counts as teaching practice in the workplace?

Activity 1- to explore the issues 4 volunteers How might audio and video be used in the workplace to help learners reflect on their skills and learning development needs? Other participants to take on the role of observers and commentators

Activity 2 2 volunteers –One to be the “learner” and one to be the “teacher/coach/mentor”. Other participants to take on the role of observers and commentators

Activity 2 The “learner” has to make a paper hat (or paper aeroplane,etc) and give a running commentary whilst making it –( 3 mins) The “teacher” gives feedback to the “learner” on the procedure and final creation. –(2 mins)
