 Commutative Property of Multiplication- the order of the factors does not change the product. Example: 8x1=8 and 1x8=8  Array – A set of numbers or objects that follow a specific pattern  Number bond- a model used to show part- part-whole relationship

3 x 2 array 2 x 3 array

 Geri brings 3 water jugs to her soccer game to share with her teammates. Each jug contains 6 liters of water. How many liters of water does Geri bring?  Draw a tape diagram and an array to solve the problem.

 Number words mean the same as a number or numbers Example: three (3) and threes (3+3); 1 three, 2 threes  Plural numbers need to be changed accordingly. Example: six changes to sixes  Adding or subtracting numbers and number words- Only subtract the numbers and write the number words.  Only add the numbers keep the same number word.
