Growth of 5.7% in energy volume sold to final customers in 3Q11in distribution segment (+4.3% at EDP Bandeirante and +8.4% at EDP Escelsa); Tariff readjustment of 6.89% for EDP Escelsa as from August 2011, with average impact on final consumers of 2.97%; ANEEL approved the increase of 73.4 MW in the installed capacity of Jari HPP (total capacity of MW); Closing of ECE Participações S.A. full acquisition, holding a 90% stake in the concession rights to Jari HPP (Oct. 13, 2011); Beginning of Jari project’s installation (Aug. 11) and 95% of Pecém project already concluded; Liquidity increase during 3Q11 reflecting the secondary share offering, which increased the Company’s free float from 49%. 3Q11 Highlights 3

Non-recurring Events (3Q11) 4 RGR (Global Provision for Reversion): retroactive constitution of the RGR at the group’s distributors relative to Jan-Sep./11 (ANEEL’s resolution 3,690): -R$ 30 million being R$ 12 million at Bandeirante and R$ 18 million at Escelsa; Post Employment Fringe Benefits: cost migration from Personnel Expenditures/Social Benefits to Financial Result (IAS 19/CPC 33), without impact on Net Income : +R$ 15.9 million in 2011 and +R$ 11 million Impacts on EBITDA: - R$ 14.1 million Impairment losses on shares of Rede Energia S.A. due to the marking-to-market of financial assets (CPC 38 – financial instruments): R$ 12.8 million.
