Copyright 2015 XenData Limited XenData X2500-USB LTO-6 Archive System

XenData X2500-USB Overview  Includes compact LTO-6 drive with USB 3.0 interface.  XenData6 Workstation software manages one or more stand-alone LTO-6 drives on a Windows machine. Supports VM Fusion or boot camp on a Mac.

XenData X2500-USB Overview  All archive and restore operations to and from LTO use Windows Explorer. This means that the archive system operation is easy and intuitive.  Uses real time verification using end to end Logical Block Protection.  The system retains information about the contents of all offline tapes. It is suitable for a large offline digital video archive where the LTO tapes are handled manually.

XenData X2500 What is in the Box? X2500 system  LTO-6 external drive with USB 3.0 interface  1.8 m USB cable  XenData6 Workstation software  2.5 TB LTO-6 rewritable cartridge  LTO cleaning cartridge

XenData X2500 Computer Requirements?  Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 – 64 bit  Boot Camp and VM Fusion is supported on a Mac  2 GB RAM  USB 3.0 (preferred) or USB 2.0 port

XenData X2500 LTO Archive and Restore Operations  Archive to and restore from LTO uses Windows Explorer via drag and drop or copy and paste.  Does not support archive and restore operations directly from other applications, including MAMs.

XenData X2500 LTO Archive and Restore Operations  Nested folder structures can be archived and restored.  When restoring multiple files, they are read in tape order for fast restores.  Fast transfer rates for both archive and restore operations – up to 140 MBytes/s.

XenData X2500 Browsing Contents of Offline LTO Tapes  All offline LTO tapes that the system knows about can be browsed using Windows Explorer.

XenData X2500 Reports for Managing the LTO Archive  Reports include LTO cartridge contents and file search.  LTO Cartridge Contents Report displays contents of a selected tape which includes any offline tape.  File Search identifies the LTO cartridges that contain files which meet search criteria.

XenData X2500 XenData6 Workstation Software Licensing  Licensing assigns a specific tape drive to the license. This means that the software may be installed on multiple notebooks and workstations which can then be used with any assigned LTO drive.

XenData X2500 Application: Data Wrangling  Offloading files from camera storage such as P2 cards, Red Media and XDCAM to LTO.

XenData X2500 Application: Offline Digital Archive  The X2500-USB manages an unlimited number of offline LTO cartridges.  Search Report finds files on offline cartridges based on file and folder name.  LTO Shelf allows browsing content of offline cartridges.

XenData X2500 Applications for SX-10 and SX-520 Users  Ingest – cartridges can be imported rapidly into a XenData server based system.  Disaster Recovery – X2500 system will restore files from LTO cartridges written on XenData server based system.
