 1904: Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalí was born on May, 11th in Figueras, Catalonia, Spain.  He was a famous surrealist painter.

 Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work.

 Salvador Dalí was most famous for his painting called the Persistence of Memory

 There is a museum dedicated to Salvador Dalí.  It is located in St. Petersburg, Florida.  It contains the worlds most comprehensive collection of works by Dalí.

 Dalí was highly imaginative, and also had an affinity for partaking in unusual and grandiose behavior, in order to draw attention to himself.  His eccentric manner sometimes drew more public attention than his artwork.

 Salvador Dalí got married to a woman named Gala in  Dalí Painted a lot of pictures of her.
