Table of Contents What it is used for. Where they are used. How it affects someone's everyday life.

Main Idea 1 Pencils are one of the most common used writing utensils in the world. They are not just used for writing. Around a million pencils are produced each day.

Main Idea 1 Teachers use pencils for certain types of grading. Pencils were known as an artists’ fine brush.

Main Idea 2 Most people use pencils at jobs. When calculating clearance they use pencil. J.C. Penny workers cut 27% in 2011

Main Idea 2 In professional jobs they commonly use pen. Kids around the world use pencils for writing and drawing everyday.

Main Idea 3 They are taken to space. Their materials.

Main Idea 3 When it was made. The first pencils started from camel and hog hair.

Conclusion The pencil is important because it’s not only used for writing it is used for many important businesses and important to history.
