T AXES - F LAT T AX Everyone will be taxed the same. The country was based on equality. Because of this everyone will pay taxes at a marginal rate. We would implement a federal sales tax and eliminate all federal income tax “School Betterment Tax” Will be enforced in every state. For county schools in the rural parts of the states Will help support schools in reasons such as textbook purchases and maintenance updates.

T HE E CONOMY Stimulus Add stimulus money to each pay check in small amounts. Doing this will allow the money to be spent on things monthly instead of all being spent at one time. This will help keep the economy “stimulated” throughout the year instead of one big hit followed by another downfall.

E DUCATION No Child Left Behind Reform Lessen standardized testing such as DIBLES and SATs Look at the overall GPA of a student instead of test scores This will help students who have test anxiety and punish those who do not take school seriously but still score high on their test Hold parents more accountable for students rather than the school or the teacher A child must have motivation at home in order to persevere.

T HE E NVIRONMENT GO GREEN Tax break for corporations who choose to make their companies more environmentally friendly Examples include: Using solar and wind power energy Recycle all products Using more energy efficient products such as compact fluorescent light and reusable grocery bags Giving educational seminar at schools to teach children about being more environmentally friendly

F OREIGN A FFAIRS Lessen ties with Israel This will lessen threats of attack by terrorist Face problems head on Talk issues over with nations face to face do not just assume that all is well Try to work out all issues peacefully Have all information about the issues before taking military action

G UN C ONTROL Ban on all assault or automatic weapons (Aks, sub-machine guns) Require a pistol permit for all handguns or weapons carried on a person If a person is convicted of a felony, he or she may not possess a weapon of any kind.

Extenuating circumstances such as harm to the mother or rape will be taken into consideration. Sex education should be taught (exemption: Religious reasons) starting in eighth grade.

A FFIRMATIVE A CTION In order to ensure equal opportunity all Americans must be given the same consideration for scholarships, college acceptance, and job opportunities It devalues the accomplishments of people who are choose for the social group they belong to rather than their qualifications. The most qualified person should obtain the offer opportunity.

S OCIAL S ECURITY Raise the beneficiary age to 68 years old Create personal accounts and invest them As the population ages, the benefits of social security should last longer in order to facilitate the rising life expectancy Social security should be made easier to procure for an aging society

M EDICARE Medicare Reforms Raise the age minimum to 68 The average life span of an American is 78 years. Lower premiums Many of the people receiving Medicare are living on retirement and Social Security so not many have money left to afford it
