2 MISSION STATEMENT The Office of Sponsored Programs, as an integral part of the University’s research infrastructure, collaborates with the Emory community to identify, obtain and administer extramural funding in support of the mission of the University.

3 OSP Overview  Central University office under Office of Research Administration reporting to VP for Research  Office of Research Administration (ORA) includes OSP, ORC, and OTT  Current staff include: Director, Assistant Directors, 10 Assoc. Sponsored Research Analysts, 3 Admin. Support staff  Staffing increased for FY07 and FY08

10 OSP Overview Contract Preparation, Review, Negotiation and Management  Contracts Prepare, review, negotiate and manage:  All contracts with sponsoring agency, including clinical trial agreements  Subcontracts (incoming/outgoing)  Associated data use agreements, CDAs, collaboration agreements, master CTAs Assists with Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including small and disadvantaged business subcontracting plans

11 OSP Overview Contract Preparation, Review, Negotiation and Management  Contracts Authorized signatories for Emory University for contracts managed by OSP Process and distribute NOAs for contracts Handle all amendments Manage and maintain files  Licenses, Patents, MTAs, IIAs, etc. are handled by OTT
