National Policy and Strategy (Article 6 of CBD) Following biodiversity related policies are in force in Bangladesh: National Environment Policy 1992 National Forestry Policy 1994 Fisheries Policy 1998 Agriculture Policy 1999 National Water Policy 1999 National Energy policy 1996 National Industry Policy 1999

National Policy and Strategy (Article 6 of CBD) National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) for Bangladesh 2006 is a framework for conservation, sustainable use sharing of benefits of biodiversity use of the country. NSAPR II has addressed aspects of environmental health, energy, agriculture, natural resources, climate change and disaster management.

National Policy and Strategy (Article 6 of CBD) The other initiatives for conservation of biodiversity are National Environment Management Action Programme (NEMAP), Sustainable Environment Management Programme (SEMP) and Bangladesh National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPA) Achievement of the goals 1 and 7 of MDGs in ensuring poverty alleviation and environment sustainability is in progress
