2014 Managed Care- Data Collection Managed Care Readership data were gathered via an online survey in April 2014 as well as mail questionnaires between May 2014 and June A portion of the sample received an invitation to an online survey in April, while the other portion of the sample received a paper mailing in May. Online – Kantar Media drafted an invitation in which recipients were asked to participate in a brief, Internet-based survey. A monetary incentive was promised to be sent upon completion. The publications of interest were asked in random rotation for each respondent. The online survey included a color representation of each publication. Paper – A monetary incentive accompanied each questionnaire. Two rotations of the questionnaire were distributed on an every-other-name basis. The publications were assigned a unique random rotation on each version of the questionnaire. The questionnaire included a color representation of each publication

2014 Managed Care - Specialties Studied and Universes The mailing and online survey invitation lists used for the Managed Care Readership survey were selected from the SK&A file of managed care decision makers. This list was chosen because it is the most comprehensive list available that has managed care professionals classified by the desired study groups. The mailing house that supplied universe counts was SK&A, in Irvine, California. Additional online respondents were derived from an internal panel of managed care professionals from previous surveys
