A very sad thing…  Going through life without being added to the Lord’s church.  Reaching the end of one’s days with no family and not having a church family.  Suddenly desiring a word from God at their death.

We Need Christian Family  To help us bear our burdens  Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.  (6:5 – For each one will bear his own load.)

Matthew 23:4  Not like the Pharisees  “They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.”

Family To Comfort Us  2 Cor. 13:11 – “Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like- minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

To Celebrate With Us…  Romans 12:15-16 – Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly….

To Lift Us When We Fall  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 – Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

Romans 15:14  And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another.

How is it you know everyone?  Run into people you know all over the world.  Know people all over the world.  Not a small world – but a BIG family.

Christian Family Refuge  In the church we should have freedom from envy.  Galatians 5:26 – Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

Freedom From Scorn  Romans 12:10 – Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor….

Freedom From Pride  Mark 9:34 – But they kept silent, for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest….

Hiding A Brother’s Failings  Galatians 6:1 – Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.

Showing A Brother’s Love  1 Peter 1:22 – Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart….

The Love Of Christian Family  A delightful stream of love  1 John 3: For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.

Unity With Brethren  Colossians 3:14 – Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

Esteeming One Another  1 Thessalonians 5:12-14 – But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you…and that you esteem them very highly in love….We encourage you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

The Golden Chain Of Love  1 Corinthians 16:14 – Let all that you do be done in love.
