Lost Cities of the Indus Harappa; Named for a near-by town, because we didn’t know the people that lived in the ruins. 400 miles south is Mohenjo-Daro the city ruins found and it means “Mound of the Dead.”
Mohenjo-Daro Historians think about 40,000 people may have lived in the city.
Harappan Culture From the first lesson we learned they grew new crops like mustard and black pepper. Historians have gathered most of their knowledge from the ruins. We haven’t broken the code to their writing yet.
