Advent In Poland, Advent is the beginning of Christmas Time.Some people give up their favourite foods or drinks and discos. Some people also go to Church. There is the tradition of the roraty, special masses dedicated to Mary.

Wigilia The Christmas Eve a very important and busy day in Poland. A specjal Christmas Eve meal called Wigilia is eaten after the first star has been seen in the sky.So children look at the night sky to spot the first star!It is also all meat free and migdt consist of barszcz,uszka,pierogi and fish dishes.The meal consists of 12 dishes.At the beginning of the meal everyone breaks a piece off and eats Opłatek.
