Presentation transcript:

The 4th Concept HCAL at ILC Cu absorber + scintillating fibers + Čerenkov fibers ~1.4° tower aperture angle ~ 10 λ int depth Fully projective geometry Azimuth coverage down to ~2.8° Barrel: towers Endcaps: 7450 towers y=330 cm z=404 cm x=330 cm This geometry is built using ROOT TGeoManager class It present nodes with 133 differents volumes

Bottom view of single tower Hadronic Calorimeter Towers Prospective view of clipped tower Top tower size: ~ 8.1 × 8.1 cm μm radius plastic fibers Fiber pitch ~2 mm Number of fibers inside each cell: ~1600 equally subdivided between Scintillating and Čerenkov Each tower works as two independent towers in the same volume Cell length: 150 cm Bottom tower size: ~4.4 × 4.4 cm 2 Dual Readout Fibers Calorimeter

This geometry is simulated using TFluka/FLUKA (fluka_VMC) ‏ Don't need to redefine the geometry For the stepping use TVirtualMC methods in order to get information by FLUKA Simulating e + e - ->qq it need about 3.75 s/GeV with ECM between 60 ÷ 500 GeV
