Potential Planning Needs (a subset) Review of current food safety guidelines following oil spills in Alaska and existing authorities available to FOSCs. Review of other RRT’s policies and guidance on food safety, guidance issued by other countries, and the published literature. Identification of Alaskan and national experts that could contribute to development of future guidelines. Broad consideration of food safety and security, including cultural losses, traditional knowledge, etc. Summary of funding issues related to food safety management, testing, sampling, and other necessary monitoring. Development of a guidance document and potential fact sheets for FOSCs and public on food safety during spills 3
