Command Staff Summary Provide a 26-hour Interactive Leadership course targeted at twenty VCSD Deputies. 11-sessions consist of two, 4-hour traditional classroom settings at the Training Center complimented by nine online interactive sessions. The course instructors are 11 Commanders and Captains on the Department.

Interactive Leadership Series There is more to leadership than solely a class or life experience. The purpose of this course is two-fold: First and most important to connect managers to the youngest of deputies offering a leadership role model. Secondly, adding an extra step of leadership education to our future leaders.

Interactive essentially means a "two-way" relationship. Our plan is to design a one of a kind leadership series that when we talk about “Interactive Leadership” we refer to a relationship pertaining to developing leadership skills in which we elicit a two-way learning relationship from student (Deputy) and instructor (Commander/Captain).
