 All of Bright Futures Scholarships require Volunteer Hours. VOLUNTEER HOURS  100 hours for FAS  75 hours for Medallion  30 for Gold Seal VPS forms are available in our school website under Guidance page. START WORKING ON YOUR HOURS NOW! HOURS EARNED IN GRADES 9 TH -12 TH QUALIFY *Registration for Bright Futures starts December 1 st of senior year.

Four (4) unexcused absences will result in a 59 (F) failing grade for the semester grade only. (9 weeks) The student would earn a 59 but would still be able to take exams at full credit. The student would still be able to pass a class depending upon the exam grade.

3 tardies = 1 unexcused absence

All missed work is due within 5 days after returning to school (see print-out for exceptions)

To participate in or attend an extracurricular activity, a student must be present in school for at least 2 full periods of that school day.

Participation points shall be awarded and applied to semester exam. Points are based on classroom attendance (see scale below). *Any absence Excused or Unexcused will count against incentive. (some exceptions apply) 0 days absent9 points added to exam 1 day absent 6 points added to exam 2 – 3 days absent3 points added to exam 4 or more days absent0 points added to exam Example: A student with a 79% on his/her semester exam and 0 absences would have 9 participation points added to his/her semester exam grade making it an 88/B.
