How I Spent My Memorial Day Weekend… or Traveling with Nicki by Shawn Keys

1 st Stop: L.A. So Nicki and me…we was thinking what would be the coolest hot place to go. L.A., of course! A few rays, some sand, some surfing. And our bff Justin was going to be there at the same time!!!!!! OMG!

2 nd Stop: Seoul, Korea So Nicki and me…we was thinking where we’d like to hang with as few paparazzi as possible. Seoul, of course! A little kimchee, a new KIA, some spicy barbecue. And our bff Psy was going to be back in town, with complimentary tickets to his ‘Welcome Back’ concert!!!!!! OMBuddha!

3 rd Stop: Paris, France So Nicki and me…we was getting a little romantic by now and we was wanting to be surrounded by love. Now you know what that means: the city of love, of course…PARIS! A little chocolate mousse, a little mousse in our hair, a little lunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower. And who should just happen to be in town shopping for Prom but none other than the city’s namesake herself, our bff Paris Hilton!!!!! OMMonet!

Last Stop: Back home in Chicago So Nicki and me…we finally got back home. Well, my home…Chicago. Things had heated up pretty awesomely in Paris. So I was thinking maybe it was time to tie the knot! I took her to all the hot places: the Jellybean in Millenium Park, lunch at Trump Tower and, best of all, the Skydeck at Willis Tower. And who should just happen to be flying by but our bff Henry Cavill…THE MAN OF STEEL!!!!! OMSuperman!!! I think Nicki’s going to like it here!

Your Mission  Design a Vacation PowerPoint like Mr. Keys’s Memorial Day Weekend PowerPoint.  You will take a whirlwind vacation around the world for 6 days…the last day in Chicago.  You will be accompanied by a famous HUMAN, dead or alive.  You will visit 5 different sights or cities AND Chicago with your famous dead-or-alive companion.  In each location, you and your companion will meet or spend some time with another famous person (dead or alive), an animal native to the location OR a product the location is famous for.

What your PowerPoint should include…  1 title slide  6 different backgrounds (1 each slide)…the last one in Chicago.  6 different images of you (1 each slide).  6 different images of your companion (1 each slide).  6 different images of people, animals or things you encounter (1 each slide).  At least 6 different layer/image adjustments or filters (1 each slide).  6 paragraphs describing your journey and associated events (1 each slide).  7 PowerPoint transitions.

What you should keep in mind while creating your PowerPoint…  Be creative.  Be professional. In other words, sloppiness won’t get you the job…or the grade.  Use the selection tools wisely and carefully.  Don’t forget the clone stamp, the patch tool and the healing brush.  Use filters subtly and realistically.  Don’t dawdle: you have from today until June 5 th to complete the PowerPoint.  Don’t be embarrassing…to yourself or others: you will be presenting your PowerPoint to the class on 1 of 2 days following the completion of the project. That’s June 6 th & 7 th.
