eth·ic noun \e-thik\ : rules of behavior based on ideas about what is morally good and bad ethics : an area of study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behavior : a branch of philosophy dealing with what is morally right or wrong : a belief that something is very important

mor·al adjective \mȯr-əl, \mär-\ : concerning or relating to what is right and wrong in human behavior : based on what you think is right and good : considered right and good by most people : agreeing with a standard of right behavior

 Be honest and accurate.  Act promptly to correct errors.  Preserve the free flow of unprejudiced information when giving or receiving gifts by ensuring they are nominal, legal, and infrequent.  Avoid conflicts between personal and professional interests.

 Avoid deceptive practices.  To aid informed decision-making.  Investigate the truthfulness and accuracy of information released on behalf of those represented.  Reveal the sponsors for causes and interests represented.

 To build trust with the public by avoiding or ending situations that put one's personal or professional interests in conflict with society's interests.  Act in the best interests of the client or employer, even subordinating the member's (ie. your own) personal interests.
