Background Information Set up in 2002 Founder members Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton Current members Surrey, Buckinghamshire Potential members already supplying representatives to sub-groups W.Sussex, Slough
Objectives To facilitate co-operation, connectivity, interoperability and resource sharing between members To provide day to day management of resource sharing systems within CoSouth To develop new regional services in accordance with the principles of CoSouth To extend membership and encourage co-operation within the library and information sector, museums, arts and archives
Membership and Sub-Groups Cost of membership £50 pa CoSouth is run by the Management Board All members automatically get a place/vote on the Management Board. Participation in the sub groups is voluntary and may involve additional costs, (eg members of the ILL group need to invest in Xchange Z39.50 software) Sub-groups: Heritage, Inter-Library Loans; Reader Development; Reference; Technical Support
