Taking the Texas Teacher STaR Chart DeLay Middle School
Go to Click on Teacher under New User
Put in your campus ID number – for DMS Put in your Username –Get this from Jayne Germany, your Instructional Technologist Click Register
Fill in the required fields. – address, password, subject area, grades Hit Submit Make sure to include your entire address!
According to the notice that appears, you will receive an with a hyperlink to the survey.
DO NOT delete this ! You will need it to take the survey.
When you are ready to take the survey, click on the hyperlink in the . You are taken to this page to log in.
Choose Teacher STaR Chart Options
Click on Complete STaR Chart
You will have to assess yourself in 21 areas. Each area contains a hyperlink that explains the 4 levels.
After you have scored yourself and move to the next area, the explanation window will minimize. Just maximize it to see an explanation for the area you have chosen. Maximize to view explanation. Score yourself by selecting from the drop down menu.

Taking the STaR Chart The STaR Chart is divided into 4 parts. Teaching and Learning: Since you are the best judge for yourself, you must decide for each area. Educator Preparation and Development: See the recommendation sheet if you need guidance on H-L. Admin and Support Services: You should seek guidance on P-Q from the recommendation sheet. Infrastructure: These are district elements that you do not control; see the recommendation sheet for choices R-V.
Submitting the STaR Chart When you are done with A-V, just hit the Submit button. You will see your overall score in the 4 areas. If you would like to print, choose the print- friendly version.
