It is set up for an A1 poster. Please ensure that the address of the corresponding author is detailed on the poster We have put in the headings we would usually expect in posters, but you can copy, paste and change to your hearts content! Our text was left in red so you will know what text you have added in and will be sure to delete everything else. We suggest that you use black text against a light background so that it is easy to read. Background color can be changed in format-background-drop down color menu. The boxes around the text will automatically fit the text you type in. If you can stretch or squeeze the text boxes to the size you want. If you do not want the boxes around your text you can simply delete the lines by going to format-colors and lines and selecting no line. How to bring data or text in from Excel and Word Bring in data from Excel - select the chart, click edit-copy, and then edit-paste into PowerPoint. The chart can then be stretched to fit as required. If you need to edit parts of the chart, you can ungroup the chart. Scientific symbols used in imported charts: PowerPoint may not recognise these fonts and it may not print properly if they are not installed on the system used by our printing company. May we suggest that you use Arial or Times New Roman and Symbol for scientific symbols. Bring in text from Word - select the text to be brought into PowerPoint, click edit-copy, then edit- paste the text into a new or existing text block. This text can still be edited. You can change the size, the color, etc. in format-text. Charts and tables that do not import well can often be imported by re- pasting them using ‘paste special’ as an enhanced metafile. Scanned pictures - tif images are preferably used to import into PowerPoint. If you are designing your poster on a PC and use digital pictures generated on a Mac, please make sure to convert these to tif or jpg before bringing them into PowerPoint. PICT files will display but will not print. Preview: To see your in poster closer to actual size, go to view-zoom-200%. This is a good way to preview every section of your poster. If you want to print your poster to check the contents you will need to go to ‘Print Preview’ and under Options select ‘Scale to Fit Paper’ GRAPH or PICTURE sssssssSssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd GRAPHPICTURE LOGO Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
