University of Yangon Founded in Department of Law was one of the six original affiliated faculties* of the Rangoon University.(Now University of Yangon) * Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education.

Aims and Purposes of University Legal Education University Legal Education should be a support to the building and safeguarding of the society. It should be closely related to the legal profession. In addition it should be supplemental to the profession and should also be based on the establishment of high moral character.
