Transfer Students Student Academic Success Center is here for you. “Navigation to Graduation”

Mission Student Academic Success Center identifies academic and social roadblocks that interfere with persistence and timely graduation of PVAMU students. SASC informs campus-wide policies by staying current with retention literature and best practices. Further, SASC develops programs and services that are specially aimed at continuing the academic success of the first year. We strive to provide PVAMU students with “Navigation to Graduation”.

Assistance and Resources Assist transfer students: Understand the PVAMU general education curriculum Develop a plan for degree completion Identify personal values and how they connect to university values Become familiar with and utilize university resources

Targeted Tutorials for Personalized Learning COMPASS offers targeted tutorials for the following “Gatekeeper” courses: –Algebra- History –English- Spanish –Tutorials for THEA and HESI –Individualized learning software is also available for self-paced used in our learning lab.

What did we learn? We must help students understand the resources that will aid them in working toward the dimensions with our community college partners
