Why take foreign language? Living in today’s global society demands knowledge of other languages and cultures Colleges and universities usually require at least 2, if not 3-4 years of foreign language study (with a C average) in order to be considered for admission. Others require a certain amount of study for admission then require additional study at the college level. See your counselor for more details. Studies show that students who take foreign language perform better on standardized tests and develop better critical thinking skills that are invaluable in college and in the workplace.
