Who we are? Mensa India is registered as Non-Profit Organization and affiliated to Mensa International. Tribal Mensa Nurturing Program (TMNP) is Special Interest Group started by Mensa India in 2002.

Every gifted child in India is identified, nurtured & empowered for nation building ‘Gifted, the so called privileged will remain underprivileged if we don’t reach out to them’

Why we approached you now? Now team and system is in placed Secured confidence by executing pilot program Experience of 12 years Certified by national and international reputed organizations Noticed by national and international papers Adopted by Corporate world as CSR activity

Who we are? My name is Narayan and my wife Devasena I am doctorate in restoration ecologist by profession and perusing second doctoral degree in Vedic & Puranic Literature Devasena is doctorate in Psychology and her interest is in Parent Counseling and Teacher Training

When & where we started? Tribal Mensa began its work in 2002, four girls were identified who scored 98 PR from Sevadham Tribal Residential School, Village Malegaon Maval taluka Pune District Maharashtra. This inspired Mensa India Pune team to seek hidden gifted students from the tribal areas.

What is TMNP? It is exclusively developed program for underprivileged gifted from tribal, rural and urban setting. The word" Tribal" has been used because as the program was exclusively started for Tribal Students and later on extended for other Underprivileged.

For whom we work? Underprivileged Tribal Rural Urban Age Group: 10 years to 15 years Enrolled in academic infra structure Qualified Mensa India test: scoring more than 95 percentile score

Underprivileged? ‘Underprivileged’ is a term used mostly with respect to socio- economic condition of a person. In TMNP, we are adding two more parameters - i.e. not having exposure for his/ her abilities, and not enough opportunities.

Ground Working Condition? Political Set up: Small villages and settlements are administered by Village Panchayats. Developmental Work: Governmental educational, health and communication developmental activities have connected the hilly terrain to the main city stream. Transportation and water related socio- economical developmental activities such as dam construction has made great impact on the landscape.

Ground Working Condition? Ecological Setup: Project is located in ecological important area recognized as major hotspot of biodiversity i.e. Western Ghats. Educational Setup: Anganwadi (Nursery), Balwadi, primary and secondary educational setup is available at free. Higher secondary educational and undergraduate educational infra structure is not available in tribal area. Geographical, technical constrains has reflected on the quality of education

We aim to enable and empower these children to become future leaders. We believe that there is a strong need to recognize gifted youth, as their accomplishments, potential, their capacity to lead, their concerns about the world, and their ability to think creatively are in fact national assets. However, for these children to be successful, they need support and encouragement from peers, families, educators, programs, and organizations. So what we are expecting?

The rational of TMNP is to make the gifted Underprivileged children aware of their own high levels of intelligence and its potential uses, nurture the intelligence these children possess and foster in them a positive attitude towards life, which in turn would lead to self- fulfillment as well as contribution to the society. TMNP Rational

TMNP Aim To develop a self- sustaining system for nation building, that identifies and nurtures underprivileged gifted children and provides assistance for their academic and economic empowerment.

TMNP Philosophy : Pancha Kosha Annamaya Kosha Pranamaya Kosha Manomaya Kosha Vidyanmaya Kosha Anandmaya Kosha
