Brief History 2000 – Launch of the SICP with SEPA 2002 – Johannesburg (WSSD): SICP included among “SD partnership – Type II Initiatives” 2005 – the Chinese Government indicated the Program as an model for the international cooperation, by awarding the prestigious International Science and Technology Prize 2002 – New Chinese Administrations involved (e.g. MOST, BJEPB) Today – 45 projects for 162 millions Euro. Project Identification Projects identified within the frame of the objectives and programs of the UN MEAs (e.g. FCCC, MP, CCD, CBD, POPs, etc.). Project Management Projects elaborated by a permanent Sino-Italian Task Force of over 60 experts from IMET, Chinese administrations, Chinese and Italian Institutions and Universities (also in collaboration with Program / Projects monitoring entrusted to PMOs (Beijing and Shanghai) in the framework of an agreement between IMET and ICE. Projects implemented – in partnership – by Italian and Chinese administrations and institutions, universities and research centers, public and private companies, international implementing acencies.
