1 WLTP Round robin program -Asia round – Prepared by JAMA 12 MAR 2014 WLTP-06-19e

 The intention is to assess the repeatability and reproducibility of the test procedure described in the Phase 1a gtr text  Labs will be asked to test the diamond vehicles according to the text of the gtr  A diamond engineer will record the operation of the test without instrucsion and share the results with golden engineer.  This should identify: Areas of possible missinterpretation Errors in the gtr text Missing items from the gtr text Possibilities / necessity to amend the test procedure in Phase 1b 1. Intentions

2. Planned Framework-1  Each CP designate HUB laboratory(ies)  Diamond vehicles go to only HUB laboratories in each participant CP. CP which provide the diamond vehicles can distribute the vehicle other laboratories within thier countries.  Each CP is able to execute the independent round-robin tests within CP  2 Diamond vehicles (1 petrol, 1 diesel)  1 Diamond Engineer (JARI)  Vehicles re-tested at first lab on completion  Exchange at least one diamond vehicle (diesel) with European RR at end of testing

Japan Round Using DV1 provided by Japan 2. Planned Framework-2 Korea HUB Lab. India HUB Lab. China HUB Lab. Japan HUB Lab. EU HUB Lab. India Round using DV2 provided by India ( under the consideration) DV1 DV2 GV(p) Independent round robin is up to CP need tbd

 JAMA co-ordinate the overall exercise of Asian round- robin  Each participating lab shall arrange transport to the next lab including oversea transportation  Reference fuel and all other test costs shall be borne by each participating lab  Diamond vehicle (petrol) shall be supplied by JAMA  Diamond vehicle (diesel) shall be supplied by India (under the consideration) 3. Financing

4. Overall Schedule(tentative) 14/ / Diamond Vehicle1 (petrol) Vehicle selection & preparation Japan Round Diamond Vehicle2 (diesel) India Round Diamond Engineer Golden Vehicle (petrol) European Round (ACEA responsibility) Golden Engineer Golden and Diamond engineers EU hub lab. to exchange the observation points. Golden and Diamond engineers India hub lab. to exchange the observation results. (may go to USEPA)

6. Testing (1) Vehicle Selection DV1 : provided by Japan, petrol, DV2 : provided by India, diesel (under the consideration), (other vehicle configuration can be used for independent CP round robin) (2) Testing Items Annex 6 or 8 (all phases shall be driven) no requirement for RLD, Ki measurement, RCB compensation factor (3) Test conditions TW&Target RL : provided by vehicle manufacture Ki, RCB, etc : provided by vehicle manufacture, if necessary (4) Test Fuel Petrol : Annex 3, Section 3.5, TableA3/5. Diesel : Annex 3, Section 5.2, TableA3/14 (independent CP round robin can be done with regional reference fuel) (5) Measurement items Pollutant emissions : THC/NMHC/CO/NOx/PM/PN(NH3/NO2/EtOH) CO2/Fuel consumption Charge balance of all installed batteries in each phase Vehicle speed trace
