UNITOR CHEMICALS HMS 2000 WN 7536 RS

 What happened: Barrel of Air Cooler Cleaner washed up on Wa’atch Beach near Makah Bay Unitor Chemicals was informed of the issue and hired NRCES to remove the barrel from the beach  Significance: No observed discharge NRCES reported that the barrel was empty once they removed it. Prompted discussion of ownership among responders

 What happened:  O/O called to report hard aground  Could not afford clean up  OSLTF opened to remove fuel  Significance:  FOSCR deemed vsl imminent threat and it was removed from position on jetty and moored in Kingston Marina  Ballard Diving continued to pump out the vessel while moored until DNR removed it

 What happened:  Tank overflowed during regulated transfer. Multi agency response  Total waterway impact was about 2 barrels, all of which remained inside the secondary containment  Significance:  Initial NRC report mentioned 20 barrel waterway impact, so news coverage was higher  RRT consulted to determine cleaning process for polluted pier
