Salt Suite User Guide (Copyright Salt )

A suite of tools The DCS Editor is designed for data category management. The Publisher adds some features for information dissemination. The converter allows you to add styles to the data categories and also to generate style sheets and schemas for conversions between different formats.

Files… The DCS file tab is the enter point of the Salt Suite. Creation of a new working file. Loading of a previous work. Preview of the current work file before saving. View of the reference file.

Admin … The user can add reference files, levels, …

The Editor Quick Overview

The Salt Suite File tab Opens an existing file Opens a new file Shows the work file or the reference file in rdf format; Indicates the reference file and the mode (always Edition) Remark :The mode is always Edition (restrictions for other modes have to be defined).

The Editor Use case Scenario You have to create a new data category set based on the ISO12620 rdf reference file. You start to create a new set by selecting all the data category you need. After a preview and a visualization, the new set seems to be correct and you save it in a file. If it is not correct, you can select/remove data categories.

The Converter Use case Scenario You want to create a profile for TBX. So, You must define a TML specification for TBX in the Editor part. You must define a main stylesheet* for TBX. You must create a profile for TBX and generate the stylesheet* conversion rules. These rules must be included in the main stylesheet*. You must also generate (automatically) a schema to validate the files based on the TML specification. (*XSLT)
