GREAT BRITAIN Great Britain is an island lying off the western coast of Europe. Buckinghan Palace is the Queen`s official and main royal London home. Great Britain is made up of: 1.Scotland- The capital is Edimburgh. 2.England-The capital is London. 3.Wales- The capital is Cardiff.

SCOTLAND Scotland: is in north-west Europe and is part of Great Britain, an island country and The United Kingdon. (UK) Scotland has some 790 island-130 in habited. The National Day is on 30 November.

ENGLAND England: is in the north-west Europe and is in the southerm part of Great Britain. England is the largest country in Great Britain and the UK.The National Day is on 23 April. England is only 35 km for France and is now linked by a tunnel under the English Channel.

WALES Wales: The name Wales comes from the Cymraes word Gwalia. Wales is a mountainous country an the western side of Great Britain. The National Day is on 1 March. Wales has not benn polotically independent since 1282, when it was conquered by King Edward I of England.

Scotland Scotland is represented by the flag of St. Andrew. It called the ‘’St. Andrews flag’’. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. Edinburgh, like Rome, was built on seven hills.

England England is represented by the flag of St. George. It is called the ‘’St. Georges flag’’. London is the capital city of England and the U.K. London is the biggest city in Britain and in Europe.

Wales The flag of Wales has got the Welsh Dragon. The Welsh dragon does not appear on the flag because when the first Union flag created, Wales was alredy united with England. The capital of Wales is Cardiff

GOVERNMENT 1. Parliament and government form the laws of the UK. But they are separate institutions. The palace of Wetsminster,also known as the houses of Parliament or Westminster palace is where the two houses of the parliament of UK(House of Lords*and House of Commons*) meet. *Members of Lords play a vital role making laws and keeping the decisions and actions of the government

* The UK public elects 650 Members of Parliament (MPs) to represent their interests and concerns in the House of Commons. MPs consider and propose new laws, and can scrutinise government policies. 2.Parliament Parliament is the highest legislative authority in the UK. It has responsibility for checking the work of government and examining, debating and approving new laws.

3.GOVERNMENT The government runs the country. It has responsibility for developing and implementing policy and for drafting laws
