Status-report TPC Electronics Meeting Dieter Röhrich, Kjetil Ullaland, Ketil Røed, Mattias Richter, Sebastian Bablok, Johan Alme

RCU status report Focus on: – Status of the DCS board firmware and low level software. – Status of the RCU actel firmware

DCS board firmware status Firmware v2.2: – Based on TRD DCS FW v011 – Memory mapped interface. – RCU Flash Interface. Read, write, erase sector and erase complete flash. Uses same Linux driver/software as existent solution. ~50 kB/s bandwidth from DCS-Linux to RCU-flash when writing. (Reading is faster) – Selectmap Interface. Direct Control from Linux – SW to FW Memory compressing included (2x16, 3x10, 4x8bit) Handling of RCU interrupt

RCU Actel Status Version 1.1 is finished and supports: – DCS memory mapped mode, direct selectmap mode and flash mode. – Read/write single frames on Xilinx using DCS messagebuffer – Scrubbing – single and continous from rcu-flash – Visit our Wiki for Firmware programming file and documentation:

Todo list DCS: – Integrate SW interrupt handling (tested and found working) – Selectmap kernel module and software. – Integrate ADC readout – Include relevant SW from Tobias Krawutsche – More irradation tolerant FW design (triple redundancy...) RCU Actel – Include frame by frame readback and verification (Conceptually design done) – More irradation tolerant FW design (triple redundancy...) – Challenge: Deal with the limited space of the Actel while also including more irradation tolerant design techniques. But... ALL important functions are ready and working
