“Methodism is a form of Christianity practiced by Methodist, who shows a concern for welfare and public morals.” –American Heritage Dictionary They are “ones who live according to the method laid down in the scriptures.” They believe in Jesus Christ and what he was sent down here on Earth to do. Their faith comes from grace and being active in the world. Admission to full membership in the Methodist bodies was usually granted only after the successful termination of a six months' probationary period.

They follow the Holy Scriptures, but are influenced by reasoning, experience, and traditions: Reasoning is used to search and comprehend God’s will. It is also used to scrutinize theological works, and identify when they are blessed with the grace of God Experience allows them to see God’s work in action and to substantiate the truth of the lord given in the Scriptures. Traditions helps Methodist to learn many cultures and gradually expands their faith. Methodists also accept the Apostles’ and Nicene Creed. They live disciplined lives and try to stay committed to God. They attempt to live faithful lives and not fail in ignoring the presence of God. Only two sacraments are admitted: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
