Future Courses Math 110 is a Terminal Course It is absolutely imperative that you understand that Math 110 is NOT a prerequisite for any other math class! If you need to take Math 112 (or might change to a major that requires Math 112), but did not place into that course, you should drop Math 110 now and take Math 100 instead, then Math 112, etc.

Your own scientific calculator for use in class, on assignments, and on tests Non-graphing, non-programmable, non-cell phone Clicker for use in each class. Access Code for course software.

Clickers You will be required to have a Turning Technologies Response Unit (or “clicker”) in class with you every day for Recording attendance Participation in class Clickers may be purchased at a campus book store. Comes packaged with the textbook or may be purchased separately The code gives you access to an online textbook, video lectures, examples of assignments and many more useful tools to help you be successful in this course. Students repeating Math 110 must go to the MTLC to get a new code. You do NOT need to purchase a new access code. Temporary code available in software for 21 days.

Course Grades Grades will be assigned in this course. Possible grades in this course are A, B, C (+/-) or NC. A grade of NC means you receive no credit for this course. You must take the course again, but an NC does not affect your GPA. The last day to withdraw from the course is Wednesday, 10/31. No withdrawals will be given after this date.

Quizzes Graded quiz for each section; deadline. Do not click the “Submit” button until you have completed the entire quiz. 2 attempts on each quiz. Only higher score will be used in course grade calculation. Can review your quiz only immediately after submitting. No help during quiz, but get help if needed during review. No work after deadline. 3 lowest quiz grades will automatically be dropped at end of semester. Average of remaining quiz grades will count for 150 points.

Choose the most correct statement below. 1. Homeworks & Quizzes can both be attempted only twice. 2. Homeworks can be worked on until their deadline but Quizzes can be taken only twice. 3. Both Homeworks and Quizzes can always be worked on until their deadlines. 4. Homeworks can be taken up to 3 times and Quizzes can be taken up to 2 times before the deadline.
