Inductor The unit of inductance is the henry (H).

Inductor One henry is that amount of inductance that will cause a counter voltage of 1 volt to be generated when the current changes at a rate of 1 ampere/second.

Inductor Practical values of inductance range from a few microhenrys (µH) up to tens of henrys.
