Photosynthesis Plants are not the only organisms that can photosynthesize Algae Photosynthetic bacteria can photosynthesize without chloroplasts

Xylem sap (water and dissolved minerals from soil) travel up inside a plant Water vapor is lost from leaves Transpiration
