 THESE CLASSIFICATIONS ARE: MAMMALS FISH REPTILES BIRDS AMPHIBIANS

Gorillas have certain characteristics that make them a mammal.  Here are some attributes of a mammal:  They have hair or fur.  They give birth to live young.  Their mothers nurse them with their milk.  They have lungs and need air to breath.  They are warm-blooded.

Diagram of a gorilla

Have you ever seen a gorilla before? After researching about the gorilla, I learned that this mammal has adapted to his environment or surroundings in a variety of ways.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE GORILLA o The gorillas only predator is the leopard. o A gorilla is a mammal. o Gorillas like to pound their chest. It is called a chest beat. o When gorillas aren’t asleep they are most likely eating. o Baby gorillas love to play. o There are different kinds of gorillas.

Gorilla babies are very cute, they will play all the time and have fun. Baby gorillas will drink their mother’s milk. That is one reason why gorillas are mammals. All of the primates take care of their babies until they are older. That is something different from us humans. Baby gorillas are adorable!

Gorillas have lots of hair on their body. Their hair is over their skin. The gorillas have brownish hair. Their hair on their body keeps them warm. Did you know that the gorilla is not covered with hair all over its body?

* The gorilla’s arm is very strong. It helps with many things. One of the things that the arm does is that it can attack with their predator.(The leopard is their predator)The gorillas arm is full of muscles and bones. I would think that gorillas have a good adaptation to protect themselves.

In conclusion, the gorilla has adapted to live successfully in their environment, and gorillas have good adaptations. This animal is currently on the endangered species list. We need to help them by taking care of our planet and we should help the community.
