Recall that to add fractions together you first need to have everything over a common denominator. STEPS: Adding and Subtracting rats Step 1: Factor and reduce each fraction Step 2: Find a common denominator and change numerators Step 3: Perform the operations Step 4: Factor again and reduce if possible Step 5: State restrictions
