DT News CJ ‘Risk Management‘Mark Hatch DT Science-Techno Tea 12 September 2011

DT Personnel Job board for a mechanical engineer (replacement Diego Perini) took place 2 weeks ago. Several very good candidates. Decision next week (?). Job board for Tech. Engineer or Engineer (CP D or C) “Operation and upgrade of irradiation facilities” will be on 22 September. 5 candidates invited. Retirement: Contract of André Braem ended on 31 August after 45 (!) years of service.

Space Together with Barthelemy Gossuin from GS, we are working on a scenario of a new central DT building, which would allow to regroup large pasts of the DT activities and people in a single building. Study led by Ferdi Hahn. It shall lead to a cost and time estimate. Time scale 2-3 months. Time scale for a decision and implementation: “n” years. Storage: Clean-up of underground area in B162/169 at the end of July. Many thanks to B. Cantin, D. Fraissard, T. Gys, C. David, P. Carrie and, in particular, R. Kristic.

169-S-022 after ‘clean-up’ Several tens of m 2 of movable shelves available.

162-S-030 Movable shelves of documentation (largely obsolete). Clean-up still needed.

162-S-029: (too) full of (locked) cupboards 162-S-027: file cabinets (A0) + cupboards

162-S-025: old scintillators and light guides (very useful)

Clean-up action continues tomorrow (14:00). Bernard, Robert, CJ If you can be available for a few hours, please pass by.
