Iowa’s largest son is the Giant. The giant is displayed at Fort Dodge.

He was a war chief. Ma-ke-tai-me-she- hia-kaih means Black hawk.

The Iowa State Fair is the largest event in Iowa and the oldest. It is the true heartbeat of the Midwest of Iowa.

Johnson was born and still living in Des Moines, Iowa the capital. Johnson is the reigning world champion in the all-around competition for Iowa.

Strong frame houses lifted off foundations and carried considerable distances to disintegrate; automobile sized missiles fly through the air in excess of 100 meters; trees debarked; steel re-inforced concrete structures badly damaged.
