Laminate pictures out of the catalogue and give them out (use as forfeits if party name is not used) and get the guests to ‘sell’ (do a mini dem on that one product) to others in the room, the funniest wins a small prize. She is now your red hot lead – as she managed to do a dem on the spot and was the funniest too, point this out to her and tell her all about the job. Always take your recruiting folders with you to your parties (include inside them a list of things that you could have bought with the money earnt from your parties in a year). Leave one behind for the hostess to read after the party, collect it on delivery. She is more likely to read it at her leisure. Inform her that she has organised a good party and had she of done it herself she would of earnt ££££’s. Sow the seed. Put a party invoice in your presenter so that your guests can see how much money you make Call at least 3 guests the day after each party to tell them that you think that they would be really good at the job (flattery WILL get you everywhere!) Give anyone who is interested/or you think could do the job an envelope with a reasons to join letter enclosed plus a loyalty card and business card for them to take home and read. (make the envelope eye catching) Tell all that you/your Unit Organiser has a company car Send all your good Hostess’s a letter saying that they would be great at doing this job and enclose a reasons to join letter. After all she has managed to organise a good party. Train a new girl at your parties. (or take your sister) Make the job look easy and fun / don’t be over organised, make a few mistakes, don’t know everything. Put a price tag on everyone’s head as soon as you walk through the door. This will encourage you to think of how much each potential new recruit is worth to you/your team.. Always be positive thinking, and constantly speak of your success and show success stories of your own or someone you know and openly and knowingly speak about them Always speak of the prospects and ease of Management and company cars. (Recruit, Train & Promote) this is the key to higher downline earnings (at management level) Inform potential new recruits of the independence gained from working for Ann Summers and that your time is your own. You are effectively your own boss Get your guests to choose who they think would make a great Party Organiser. Then flatter them!! Include a You’ve been Spotted letter in a few of the orders you are delivering each week. Photo Album of Achievements both personal and other girls in your team, pictures of Catalogue Launches, Crown Circle, Unit Meetings etc. Money envelopes – have envelopes with earnings on them – ask the girls holding it if she would say no to it if it were offered to her, then follow on saying just 1 – 2 parties etc and its yours. Wear your bars everywhere!! Using your presenter so they can see you are given tools to help/work with, plus have your training manual with you for the same reason. Recruits bring you business and grow your success, never ever close off an opportunity to Recruit!!!

Hold regular ‘open meetings’ for coffee etc (informal) for new and interested girls to lessen the fear of their first meeting. Ask ‘ who wants a job with great pay that you could have a laugh doing? Tell all the guests that you are a party & RECRUITING organiser – and speak to each lady individually. Offer a joining incentive – as well as focusing on the ‘earn £2500 in 3 months’ Target supermarkets and garages in the evenings – of course wearing your bars as this will encourage others to ask what are they for – opening up the way for you to tell them you have just finished work and earnt more in one evening than they probably earn in a week Reassure your new recruit/hot lead that you will be there to help her and explain that Ann Summers provides support – via Unit Organisers and Area Managers. Contact all ex leads – peoples circumstances do change and maybe now is the right time for them. Tell them how shy/depressed you used to be, and how much more confident you are now. (you could even tell them if you’re a mother that “you used to have post natal depression prior to starting and say look at me now” Make sure you have answers to their objections – remember Feel, Felt, Found! (“I’ understand how you Feel, I Felt the same before I joined but I have Found that…..”) NEVER pre judge people – you never know who may be a successful organiser until they give it a go. Let them know how many competitions the company offer and your success is always recognised. Sell the job – talk about personal success, great pay, flexibility etc – be a great advert. Always carry application forms, opportunity leaflets and personal recruitment letters together with business cards at all times. Advertise out of your car back window, have advertising flyers on your side windows too, for when your car is parked up. Put on a Hostess incentive to join – get her friends at the party to persuade her she’d be great. Tell your hostess that you are going to struggle to do her bookings from her party as you are so busy, however if she joined now she could do those 2 for you as a favour, and if after those first couple of parties she no longer wished to carry on she could send back her kit. Once she has felt the money she will not quit. Target the ladies who haven’t spent much – tell them how they could afford to buy more if they joined. Explain that this is the perfect job for someone with a jealous partner as you are only ever working with/going to meet other women. Give Business cards to FRAN for them to help promote your business too. And finally believe in your self – once you believe in your earning potential others will easily follow.

Make each Party make impact for you. The Guests in that room are your stepping-stones to dream earnings Tick each tip as you try it out, and make a note of how successful it has been for your Party.  Top Tips to Make More Money for YOU at Parties! Always wear your bars – it encourages trust and shows that you know your stuff Make sure your kit is well maintained, contains lots of variety, and has the more expensive lines to encourage higher value sales Push all the Company offers – e.g. France and Ireland vouchers Have incentives for your Hostess to get more Guests attending – e.g. Treasure Hunt Give your Hostess an incentive to get outside orders Have a prize draw on the night, if all the Guests buy “if all Guests buy, one of you will walk away tonight with…” Make up ‘Bloke Boxes’ for your Guests to buy on the way home from the Party Work with your Hostess before the Party on what she likes in the Catalogue – and how much she needs to collect in sales to achieve her order free Party Plan to perfection – always remember the 6 P’s – Proper Planning Prevents Poor Parties! Rotate stock – accept cash sales at Parties for demo stock Get Guests to take photos on their mobiles and send to their partner – “do you want me to get this?!” Count order forms to ensure all Guests have returned them “oh, I seem to be missing two forms, who am I waiting for?” Keep a close eye on what Customers have ordered for future Party bookings (e.g. May ‘referee’ gift for Guests who love playwear) Encourage modelling/fashion show as Customers often have different opinions when they see things on. Ask them ‘how do you feel in that?” Show extras with outfits (tickle ties, stockings etc) to create the complete top to toe look Talk about a line becoming discontinued, and this is last chance to buy Take specials to sell at the Party for Guests to take home – after sales only, not instead of sales! Partner packs – offer incentives for partner getting male friends to order Suggest two pairs of knickers with a bra Offer 30% discount on link sales once the Customer has ordered (“oh, completely forgot to mention, if you buy 2 knickers you can have 30% off the suspenders”)

Use the Guest book – make a note of their size, so that when the next Catalogue/range comes in, you can boost sales by making your pitch specific to them Put on a 100% Guests buying incentive Never close a Party – encourage further orders Get Guests to write what they like on an order form as they go along, then they can cross off what they don’t want at the end (but no-one likes to cross it off!) Use Booking Boards to encourage further bookings, theme it to make it more fun Have a Product Of The Month that you really promote throughout the Party Have promo weeks in your diary to encourage further bookings Have a Lucky Dip draw for everyone spending over £x Listen to what’s being said in the room, and take time to talk to every single Guest Get Gusts to fill in the top of the Order Form at the beginning of the Party, so they ‘own’ the form Take a trainee along with you; you always do a better Party! Set a scene and tell a story about the linked products – remember the fireman rescuing the kitten from the tree! Talk about how well a product has been selling,, and how it has been out of stock but is now back in Sell vibrators offering 30% off batteries, lubricant and Buzz Fresh For every Rabbit sold, offer 30% off the Rabbit case of shaft case Remember to sell, the benefits of each product – what it can do for you. ‘A Feature is, a benefit does’ Leave Catalogues and Order Forms for people who haven’t placed orders Put business cards/leaflets etc in ALL orders for future outside sales Lots of fun and laughs, and try to tell a story about each product “I got that and my man could not take his hands off me” etc Really coach your Hostess so that she has the same goal as you for the Party – aiming for sales and bookings and a really good girls night in!
