Turnitin is an application that helps support the development of your skills in preparing written assignments.

Students submit documents through to the Turnitin databases. Turnitin’s servers compare submitted documents against vast proprietary databases using advanced pattern-matching technology. The results are returned in the form of customized Originality Reports, in which any text matches found in the databases are highlighted and linked to their source. Originality Reports allows you to change your documents before final submission.

Log in to Studysmart – Select your unit Click the Turnitin assignment linkhttp://studysmart.acpe.edu.au

In Summary Screen – Assignment Details Click “My Submissions” to submit your assignment

Enter “Submission Title” Upload your file using the Browse button in the ‘Files to submit’ section Check the box to indicate this submission is your own work and you accept all responsibility for any copyright infringement that may occur as a result of this submission. Click “Add Submissions” Note : You can resubmit your assignment if your lecturer allows re-submission. A new originality report will be generated.

Check your originality report in “My Submissions” tab Click the percentage box under “Similarity” to view your originality report

When you download your originality report, you will be prompted to fill in the user agreement. Select your group and click “I agree – continue” button to view your originality report
