Good vs. Evil: Religious concepts (Judeo- Christian tradition) dating back to The Garden of Eden The Garden of Eden is the beautiful garden where God intended Adam and Eve (the first two humans) to live in peace and contented innocence. The Garden of Eden is the beautiful garden where God intended Adam and Eve (the first two humans) to live in peace and contented innocence. –The garden had a tree of knowledge of good and evil, from which Adam and Eve were forbidden to eat. –They disobeyed and ate the forbidden fruit when a SERPENT (who is the devil) tempted Eve and convinced her to eat the forbidden fruit. God drove them out of the Garden and punished women through painful childbirth and men through having to work. –In the world outside of the Garden of Eden, they were subject to Sickness, pain, and eventual death
