Tell me about a time when you faced a major obstacle at work. Intent: How you overcome the hurdle? Respond: 1. Pick a specific example to demonstrate how you resolve conflict. 2. Explain it in steps.(First…Second…) Similar question: How do you deal with conflict?

Tell me about an assignment that was too difficult for you. Intent: It can be varied. Respond: 1. Do not say that you haven’t met such a difficult assignment. 2. Choose the one that you find yourself stretch to the limit and how your successfully done it.

Tell me about yourself Intent: How you present yourself? Respond: 1. Do not recite your resume. 2. The length should be at least one minute. 3. Connect your job with your background, knowledge and interest. 4. Something notable in your life.

How would you describe your work style? Intent: How do you both understand and articulate your work? Respond: 1. How you work? 2. In what kind of work environments you work best?

Why are you interested in this job/our organization? Intent: Why are you? Respond: 1. The reasons should involve opportunity, career fit, cultural fit, interest in their business, personal value proposition fit and your ability to be successful in the job. 2. The research you've done on the company.

What is your management style? Intent: To determine whether you have management ability and how much do you understand your work style. Respond: Speak to leading and developing your team, communication, how you organize and plan, how you execute and how you measure progress.

How would your past experience translate into success in this job? Intent: The interviewer is indicates his doubt about your legitimacy as a candidate, or asking you to make the connection for him effectively. Respond: Speak to the specific challenges and objectives you see in the role.

How would you tackle the first 90 days? Intent: To know your organizational complexity and how much you have thought about this job. Respond: 1. Do not get specific on changes or initiatives you would make. 2. Presenting an operating framework that demonstrates you are realistic.

Give me proof of your technical competence Intent: Your level of competency in a specific skill. Respond: Better off acknowledging where you are rather than trying to fake it.

Know yourself! Think about the position you are interview for. Make connection between the work and you.
